As one of reciprocating pump type,plunger pumps are widely used in oilfields, chemicals, mining, steel, and cleaning industries. With technological improvment, large-flow plunger pumps have demonstrated superior energy efficiency over centrifugal pumps with equivalent capacity, particularly in water injection applications with flow rates of 50–400 m³/h, centrifugal pumps will gradually be replaced by plunger pumps.
